Description
Lever will be pulling out all of the stops for a very special show at Raue Center! Lever identifies as “bipolar grunge pop,” generally performing alternative rock with influences of grunge and punk. The Chicago-based band grabs influences from a variety of bands, from Nirvana, The Vines and Speedy Ortiz to The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix and Led Zeppelin, to create their own unique sound. The four-piece released their debut album, “Hover Bored,” in May 2015. The album features the single “Who Cares” and was described by We Are The Television one that “can be by enjoyed the punks and pop enthusiasts alike.” Lever released their most recent EP, “Ms. Lead,” in August 2017. Lever plans on a third follow up release in 2018. Lever has a relentless urge to play anywhere and everywhere, from wrestling matches and flea markets to dive bars and city venues like The Metro and the House of Blues in Chicago to the famous Whisky a Go Go in West Hollywood. With a raw energy and polished sound, Lever presents grunge pop and modern midwestern punk rock at its finest. Lever was voted Best Rock Band in the “Chicago Reader’s” Best of Chicago 2017. The band is made up of Jon Babin (lead vocals/guitar), Jeff Aquino (guitar/vocals), Brandon Erker (bass) and Michael Reinhold (drums). Check out their music and more at leverband.bandcamp.com.
