SUMMARY:Diaper Drive at Raue Center For The Arts
DESCRIPTION:Raue Center for the Arts will take donations of unused adult and children's diapers at 26 North Williams Street in downtown Crystal Lake\, IL now through the end of the year. The donated diapers will then go to St.Paul's Episcopal Church in McHenry for distribution to needy families in the area. \n\nAs the holidays approach\, families across McHenry County will donate much needed food and clothing items to local charities\, but sometimes overlook an expensive necessity such as diapers. \n\nDiapers alone can cost a family with young children over $140 a month. This affects low income families because diapers are not covered under the government's Women\, Infant and Children program. Also\, cloth diapers are not an option for many because most daycare centers will not accept children who wear them. \n\nThe McHenry County diaper bank was established by Rev. Jim Swarthout of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in McHenry and the diapers are distributed by local organizations. \nDonating a package of diapers is a great way to give back to the community this holiday season. \n\nDrop-off times are: \nMonday 12:00-4:00pm \nWednesday - Saturday 12:00-4:00pm
