Author Melanie Holmes' new statewide bucket list book answers the question, "What else is Illinois known for besides Chicago or the Land of Lincoln?" Holmes researched "hot spots" across the state in people, cultures, the arts, entertainment, food, parks, history, and even geology. She has tips for day jaunts, weekend trips, and weeklong excursions -- all in your backyard, region, or state. Holmes will also offer a segment called, “windshield travel,” which includes things for those with physical challenges.
