Fall Seminars & Workshops Saturday, September 23 10:00 a.m. Backyard Pollinator Gardens Guest speaker, Sarah Michehl, Community Engagement Specialist of The Land Conservancy McHenry County, will give native plant recommendations, garden layouts, and practical tips to support pollinators based on The Land Conservancy of McHenry County’s “Conservation@Home” program. 11:30 a.m. Fall Maintenance/Cleanup Lori Harms, Greenhouse Manager, and Karen Campney “KC”, Nursery Manager, will walk you through your fall clean up. Everything will be covered from what to cut back to what should be left alone till spring, what to divide and what to treat – grasses, perennials, roses, trees, shrubs and evergreens. You will leave knowing what to do as the seasons change to put your yard to bed for winter. 1:00 p.m. Fall Container Garden Workshop Bring your pots in for this informative and hands-on workshop with Michael Fedoran, Countryside Container Guru! See great examples of combining color and texture to create beautiful fall container gardens that will last well into the frosty months!
