Teens in Grades 7-12 are invited to participate in special library programming during Teen Tech Week, March 6-12, at the Cary Area Public Library.
Design your own video game using the program Scratch in a two-part program meeting on both Monday, March 7 and again on Wednesday, March 9, from 3:30-5:30 p.m. both days. This program requires payment of a $10 fee; please register in person at the Information Desk to pay the fee.
On Tuesday, March 8, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m., the "Game it Up" mobile gaming unit will be in the library parking lot. If you'd like to participate in this unique gaming event, be sure to have your parent fill out and sign a waiver (you MUST have a signed waiver to participate!) You must be registerd to attend. (For teens in grades 7-12, only!)
On Saturday, March 12, TAB (Teen Advisory Board) will hold a Read-a-Thon at the library to raise money for the Cary-Grove Food Pantry. From 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., TAB members will be reading books to younger kids and accepting monetary donations for the food pantry.
