Colorectal cancer remains the second leading cause of cancer-related death in the United States. The American Cancer Society recommends that starting at age 50, all men and women should get screened for colorectal cancer. Join the following panel of experts for a dscussion on prevention, treatment and family history: David Ondrula M.D., colorectal surgeon with Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital, will discuss colon cancer screening and the latest in medical and surgical treatments for colon cancer. Shelly Galasinski, genetic counselor, will discuss genetic testing and screening for those with a strong family history. Gretchen Vanderbosch, registered dietitian, will explain how you can lower your risk factors that can be controlled, such as diet and exercise.
