Description
Get ready to be INSPIRED!
Local Business Leader, Jennifer Prell, will take us through her journey to owning multiple businesses that do great things for our communities and people in all walks of life!
When Jennifer established Paxem, Inc. 15 years ago, its mission was to help people organize their homes and/or move out. Today, Paxem is an A+ accredited Senior Move Manager and ASEL (American Society of Estate Liquidators) accredited organization - helping with all aspects of organizing, estate liquidation and moving. The Paxem Consignment Showroom in Palatine showcases high-quality furnishings, art, rugs and decoratives.
Shortly after Paxem opened its doors, Jennifer founded Elderwerks Educational Services, a 501c(3) corporation helping families find senior housing, care and support services based on their individual needs. Elderwerks complementary services encompass referrals for any type of senior housing (assisted living, memory care, retirement living, nursing homes, etc.), home care, and support services (elder law attorneys, Senior Move Managers, SRES (Senior Real Estate Specialists) Realtors, geriatric care managers and more.
Jennifer also founded Treasured Bits, a not-for-profit 501(c)3 corporation raising money for Illinois active duty families, veterans, seniors and homeless for household related expenses.
Jennifer volunteers her time on the Collaborative Healthcare Urgency Group (CHUG) board as Board Treasurer. CHUG helps senior communities and hospitals with emergency preparedness, sheltering in place and evacuation if necessary. She is the Vice President of Continuity of Care, Lake/McHenry Chapter, on the Board for the Barrington Area Chamber of Commerce and a member of many other organizations that help seniors.
