Cary-Grove High School Students Awarded Chamber Scholarships
(Cary, IL – 5/16/2026) The Cary-Grove Area Chamber of Commerce awarded two $2,000 scholarships to students at Cary-Grove High School. The awards are intended to encourage area students to pursue college interests that might impact local business. Over the years, the Chamber has given away more than $70,000 in scholarship awards to local high school students. The Chamber is proud to make this investment in our local youth who may someday become future business professionals and owners right in our community. We specifically look for students that may want to bring their skills back to the Cary-Grove area.
The class of 2026 high school recipients each received a $2,000 scholarship for college. The scholarships were awarded to Angel Apaez and Aria Stanton. Angel Apaez will be attending the Illinois State University and plans to study Education or Criminal Justice. Aria Stanton will also be attending Illinois State University and majoring in Business Administration.
Angel and Aria were extremely involved during their four years at Cary-Grove High School, at both their school and within the community. Thank you to the Cary-Grove Chamber Scholarship Committee; Committee Chairperson – Neil Williams of NWS Home Advisors/@properties, Wally Kedzior of Aptar, Barb Kreutzmann of True Value Paints, LLC, David Santiago of Stryker, Dave Shepherd of Cary Consolidated School District 26, Dr. Rebecca Stack of Northern Illinois Foot & Ankle Specialists, Ltd., and Shawna Vaclavek of Vaclavek Hartman Vaclavek, PC.
