Cary-Grove Chamber of Commerce Celebrates the Opening of Home of the Sparrow's New Headquarters

[Woodstock, IL | November 8, 2023] – The Cary-Grove Area Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with all the McHenry County chambers, co-hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the grand opening of Home of the Sparrow's new headquarters at 1991 Duncan Place, in Woodstock. This event marks a significant step forward in the organization's mission to combat homelessness and support self-sufficiency among women, children, and families in our community.

Home of the Sparrow’s vision to provide hope, opportunity, and support empowers women experiencing homelessness on their journey to self-sufficiency. Their mission, focused on reducing homelessness through creative strategies and community partnerships, has been the driving force behind their impactful programs.

“The new headquarters in Woodstock is a beacon of hope and a testament to the community's unwavering support for those in need,” says Matthew Kostecki, Executive Director of Home of the Sparrow.  “This facility will enhance the organization’s ability to serve homeless women, children, and families more effectively, offering a wider range of services under one roof.”

Attendees of the ribbon-cutting event were encouraged to bring an item from Home of the Sparrow’s wish list.  The community is invited to support Home of the Sparrow this holiday season by visiting their Amazon wish list at https://bit.ly/3Gdzn5j.  Every contribution, big or small, makes a difference in the lives of those striving towards self-sufficiency.
