Community members are invited to attend a FREE interactive group fitness class focused on improving stability, coordination, and confidence through simple, balance-focused exercises. Improving balance can play a vital role in reducing the risk of falls and helping adults maintain independence and confidence as they age. Participants will learn practical exercises they can incorporate into their everyday routines while enjoying a fun, encouraging group environment. The class is open to adults of all fitness levels, whether balance is currently a concern or not.
Steps-2-Balance is the annual awareness initiative created by the Vestibular Disorders Association (VeDA), celebrating every “step” people take on their journey back to balance. This year, Smith Physical Therapy+ and the local community will join the global celebration by hosting a free balance-focused fitness class designed to encourage movement, resilience, education, and hope.
“Falls become more common as we get older, which is why the best time to begin working on balance is now,” said Dana Tress, Physical Therapist at Smith Physical Therapy+. “This class is designed to help people become more proactive about their health in a way that is approachable, educational, and fun.”
Space is limited, and advance registration is required.
