Lucky Corner Opens in Downtown Cary with Ribbon Cutting
and Grand Opening Celebration
[Cary, IL, December 12, 2024] – On December 12, The Cary-Grove Area Chamber of Commerce celebrated the the grand opening of Lucky Corner with a ribbon cutting. Lucky Corner, located at 44 Crystal St., is a newly renovated venue located in the heart of downtown Cary. Formerly known as Happy’s Bar, the establishment was purchased earlier this year by Nik and Dhara Patel, who have since transformed the space into an inviting local hotspot.
The Patels, who also own Lucky Penny’s in Cary, Lucky Lucy’s in Fox River Grove, and Jalsa in Crystal Lake, have invested significant time and resources to bring their vision to life. Lucky Corner has video gaming terminals, will soon have a full kitchen, and plans for an outdoor deck and patio overlooking Veterans Park in the next phase of development.
"We are deeply grateful for the support we’ve received from the community," said Nik Patel. "Investing in Cary has been a rewarding experience, and we’re committed to giving back to the community that has welcomed us so warmly. We want Lucky Corner to be a space where people can gather with friends and enjoy great moments."
The Patels have completely transformed the former the space to be brighter and more open, with plans to feature small live music acts and weekly themed events similar to those at the Patels’ other locations. Located conveniently across the street from the Cary Metra Train Station, Lucky Corner is perfectly situated for locals and commuters alike to stop in, relax, and enjoy the revitalized venue.
