HARVARD, Illinois—Mercyhealth is pleased to welcome Elizabeth Steffens, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, family medicine nurse practitioner, to the staff at Mercyhealth Harvard South, 348 S. Division St., Harvard.

Steffens understands that each patient is unique. “I strive to provide complete and individualized health care to each and every patient,” she said. “This starts with a continuous and compassionate partnership that optimizes health across the lifespan. I want my patients to feel like I’m here to collaborate with them on their health care journey. We will work together to achieve their health goals through evidence based practices and clinical guidance. By providing the patient with the right tools and support optimal health can be achieved. At the end of the day we are a team working together to achieve the same goals.”

Steffens earned a Master of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University, Addison, Illinois. She is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. 
Steffens’ special interests include:
 Diabetes education and management
 Family planning/contraception care
 Preventive care
 Pulmonary management
