Mercyhealth welcomes board certified cardiovascular doctor
CRYSTAL LAKE, Illinois—Mercyhealth is pleased to welcome Hafiz Khalid, MD, board certified and fellowship trained cardiovascular disease doctor, to Mercyhealth Heart and Vascular Center–Crystal Lake, 875 S. Route 31, Crystal Lake.
Dr. Khalid works hard to develop trusting relationships with his patients. “My philosophy of care is to treat every patient as if they are a family member or friend,” he said. “I treat them with the same respect, time, dedication and commitment as I would invest on those closest to me. I always try to help my patients make the decision that is in their best interest.”
After earning his medical degree at Baqai Medical College, Pakistan, Dr. Khalid served an internal medicine residency at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Urbana, IL. He then completed a cardiovascular disease fellowship at Saint Vincent Hospital, Worcester, MA, and an interventional cardiology fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia, PA. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine with added qualifications in cardiovascular disease.
