Mercyhealth opens Memory and Dementia Clinic
CRYSTAL LAKE, Illinois—Mercyhealth is excited to announce the opening of Mercyhealth Memory and Dementia Clinic, located in Mercyhealth Hospital and Physician Clinic–Crystal Lake, 875 S. Route 31, Crystal Lake.
The clinic will focus on state-of-the art treatment for dementia and memory care. In addition to treatment, the clinic will help to connect caregivers to resources in the community.
The clinic will be led by Dr. Amarish Davé, Medical Director for the Mercyhealth Memory and Dementia Clinic and Mercyhealth Associate Medical Director. Dr. Davé brings more than 20 years’ experience in neurology.
After earning his medical degree at the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in Downers Grove, IL, Dr. Davé completed his Internal Medicine residency at Christ Hospital Medical Center in Oak Lawn, IL, and his Neurology residency, selected as Chief Resident, at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
“I believe in taking a holistic approach to memory loss, combining the latest diagnostic and treatment options along with non-medication data driven interventions to slow down the progression of the memory loss,” said Dr. Davé.
In addition to the clinic located in Mercyhealth Hospital and Physician Clinic–Crystal Lake, additional clinic hours will also be offered at Mercyhealth Woodstock, 2000 Lake Ave., Woodstock, IL.
