Mercyhealth Hospital and Physician Clinic–Crystal Lake to Offer Urgent Care Services

CRYSTAL LAKE, Illinois—To improve access to acute health care and reduce wait times, Mercyhealth will offer urgent care services at their hospital in Crystal Lake, which opened last July, located on the corner of Route 31 and Three Oaks Road. The new urgent care is located within the hospital campus near the emergency department and opened today .The urgent care will be staffed with healthcare providers who are able to treat patients who don’t have underlying health conditions and are experiencing mild symptoms, like an infection, cold symptoms, or mild aches and pains. COVID-19 testing will also be available. For serious and life-threatening injuries, patients should call 911 or visit Mercyhealth’s 24/7 emergency department, which is capable of treating and stabilizing the full range of conditions, from chest pain and heart issues to head injuries, as well as more common emergencies, such as broken bones, abdominal pain, lacerations and trouble breathing, to name a few. “We are excited to offer local residents another option for immediate care in their community,” said Tyler Killpack, Vice President of Community Hospitals for Mercyhealth. “The addition of this facility will improve access to care and provide our patients with convenient care options when and where they need it. The facility’s proximity to our new hospital in Crystal Lake will also allow patients to access specialty services or a higher level of care if needed.” Urgent care services at Mercyhealth Hospital and Physician Clinic–Crystal Lake will be available Monday-Friday, 8 am-8 pm, and Saturday-Sunday, 8 am-2 pm. With this opening, Mercyhealth now offers urgent care services in McHenry, Woodstock and Crystal Lake.
