Mercyhealth welcomes clinical psychologist
CRYSTAL LAKE, Illinois—Mercyhealth is pleased to welcome Nika Winiarski, PhD, clinical
psychologist, to the staff at Mercyhealth Behavioral Health Clinic, 415-A Congress Pkwy., Crystal
Lake.
Dr. Winiarski likes to get her patients involved in their care. “I take a collaborative approach to patient
care,” she said. “While I can contribute knowledge on evidence-based practices, patients are the
experts on their own lives. Together, we develop a treatment plan that is individualized and sustainable
so that changes made in therapy can be long-lasting.”
Dr. Winiarski earned her Doctor of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology degree at Emory University,
Atlanta.
Her special interests include:
- Pediatric/adolescent and adult health psychology
- Cognitive behavioral therapy
- Depression
- Anxiety
- Pain management
- Behavioral management (ADHD)
- Psychological testing in children and adolescents
