Mercyhealth Welcomes New Ophthalmology Clinic
MCHENRY and ALGONQUIN, Illinois—Mercyhealth is pleased to announce it has acquired Whispering Point Ophthalmology. Located in McHenry and Algonquin, the clinics have been renamed Mercyhealth Whispering Point.
As part of the acquisition, ophthalmologists Maureen Richards, MD, and Joseph Kappil, MD, have joined Mercyhealth.
Dr. Richards received her medical degree from Rush University Medical College, Chicago, and completed her ophthalmology residency at the Eye Institute of the Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. She is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Kappil received his medical degree at Loyola Stritch School of Medicine, Maywood, IL, completed his ophthalmology training at Loyola University Medical Center, Maywood. He is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
