Crystal Lake, IL (May 14, 2025) — The Cary-Grove Area Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with the Crystal Lake Chamber of Commerce, recently co-hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the grand opening of the new Smith Physical Therapy+ Aquatic Center, located at 269 Liberty Rd. in Crystal Lake. The ribbon cutting took place on May 14, officially marking the opening of this innovative addition to Smith Physical Therapy+’s growing portfolio of patient-focused wellness services.

Founded by physical therapist Denise Smith, Smith Physical Therapy+ has earned recognition for its exceptional, individualized approach to physical rehabilitation and wellness. With the launch of the Aquatic Center, the practice expands its capabilities to include water-based rehabilitation and athletic conditioning—providing cutting-edge care in a state-of-the-art, 90° heated therapy pool.

The Aquatic Center offers a wide range of services including aquatic rehabilitation for pre- and post-operative patients, balance and gait training, cardiovascular and stability training, as well as athletic conditioning. As one of the only adult rehabilitation aquatic facilities in the area, the center fills a critical gap in regional care by offering a low-impact, highly effective treatment environment tailored to adult patients recovering from injury or surgery.
