Baxter Credit Union (BCU), in its continuing efforts to help consumers navigate through these challenging economic times, is offering a seminar on attaining employment.  The “Standing Out in the Crowd: From Job Search to Accepting an Offer” seminar will be held on Wednesday, September 16 at 6 p.m. at BCU’s Crystal Lake branch located at 415 South Main Street.  The unemployment rate of 10.5% exceeds the national average.  Each open position can garner hundreds of applicants.  This free seminar will cover strategies applicants can use throughout the recruitment process to make an impression, common mistakes to avoid, challenges applicants face and more.  Speaker Shauna Moreno, senior recruiter for BCU, is an industry expert in the employment field, having recruited for the manufacturing, technology, and financial industries, from entry-level positions to senior management.
