Description
This one-man show takes you on a hilarious journey back into 60s and 70s TV-land. A witty and warm exploration of Toomey's only childhood outlet - being glued to the tube.
A master impressionist, Toomey re-creates some of our favorite television characters in a nostalgic and uproarious performance that is guaranteed to leave audiences laughing in the aisles.
With over 200 slides and sound bytes, this theatrical sensation enjoyed a successful run at Chicago's Apollo Theater and will resonate with all ages -TV & ME is an evening of clean, laugh-out-loud fun that will inspire word-of-mouth buzz and repeat visits.
Toomey's weekly characters on Chicago's WGN-TV have garnered him praise and The Chicago Tribune calls Mike, "One of the funniest and most talented performers to ever work in Chicago." With his sharp delivery, quick wit, and identifiable style, Mike has been a favorite at corporate functions and special events since 1982. He is regularly requested to open for Joan Rivers and Weird Al Yankovic among others. He has also performed on numerous television programs including: HBO's U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, Colorado; MTV's Half Hour Comedy Hour, A&E's Comedy on the Road and Comedy Central's Comics Only.
